Heather’s crystalline voice floats effortlessly over the sophisticated harmonies of her jazz pop quartet. Her agile vocals weave through intricate arrangements, bridging the gap between radio-friendly hooks and improvised jazz flourishes. The group’s sound marries the accessibility of pop with the harmonic richness of jazz, creating a musical tapestry that’s both familiar and refreshingly novel. Backed by a trio of seasoned musicians on piano, upright bass and drums, Heather’s performances captivate audiences with their blend of polished technique and raw emotion. Her repertoire spans reimagined jazz standards, pop covers infused with jazzy sophistication and original compositions that showcase the band’s unique fusion style. -Rodrigo Ele

Heather Lee Lindaman's musical journey is a testament of faith, family, and the power of music to connect. Rooted in a lineage of singers and performers, Heather's love of music was ignited by her grandmother's songs, her mother's melodies, and a great aunt who was a singer and recording artist in the 1940s. Her solo album breathe, with co-producers and friends Tim Ellis and Rick Modlin at the former Kung Fu Bakery studio, was released on March 8, 2024. This collection of music was inspired by the many people who have asked her to record an album that highlights her many years leading contemporary worship music.

Collaborating with local talent is one of her favorite experiences, especially with an audience.  Music brings back a memory, a feeling, a loved one.  Music is medicine.  I love helping to heal hearts, inspire dance and share emotions.

Rick Modlin is a pianist, composer and producer who has appeared on dozens of recordings with artists from Amsterdam to Brooklyn to Portland.  Rick has orchestrated for Academy-award-winning composer Bobby Lopez and been invited to tour with multiple Broadway productions during his musical theatre career.

I’ve experienced the beautiful, moving music of Heather and Rick many times.  They are both gifted souls.  Their songs are full of personality, passion and character.

If you do one thing, watch them live!            I think they are hidden gems in the Portland music scene.
